Our 125th anniversary

President Scott Crichton's introduction
On behalf of the committee, it is my duty and pleasure to wish a warm welcome to all members and friends of Cambuslang Bowling Clubon this, the occasion of our 125 Year Anniversary.
An Anniversary such as this reminds us of our long heritage, our club's association with the Cambuslang community and our own responsibilities to maintain these traditions and ensure a bright and continuing future for the club as a local centre of recreation and social contact.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the many sponsors who have rallied round and whose contributions have enabled us to offer a number of special prizes and extra competitions during the year. Also, of course, I must thank my committee, who have worked hard in arranging the year's events and who will continue to work hard to ensure their success.
Last, but not least, I must thank my wife Tracy, for her support during a memorable year for the Crichton family, with the birth of our first daughter, Nicole, coinciding with Opening Day.
Welcome to all of you, and may 1999 bring you every success you could wish for.
